((Go ahead and be harsh! It's more interesting! And Quicksand with a knife? I have a hard time imagining that! )) Quicksand nodded quickly. "Yes sir - of course. Sorry about that." She wasn't sure why she was apologizing - she had said where she was going. But she found it ususally was better to agree that you are wrong and avoid conflict.

Tiger nodded to her, eying her up and down, from muzzle to tail and back again. He knew he was being harsh on her, but it was all about the pressure and if she could take it out here in the wide world, especially on a pirate ship. If she planned to stay, she had better learn the ropes, and quick.
"Good," he said, still eying her. He felt he should have actually taken a look at that letter to see if it consisted of any content that might have compromised his ship, but he decided to let that lie. He wasn't wanted at this part of Ponyland - yet, anyway - so he'd give her the benefit of doubt. This time.

Quicksand watched nervously as the captain stared at her for a while. "Um...so when are we setting sail?", she asked, before adding, "...sir."
((Uggh - I've gotta get off. Bye for now!))

((Quit posting too fast!!!!!!)) Pippi gave Gan Ning another evil look. "Well, maybe I will, someday."
She then heard the stupid Bridie. She turned around to face her. "Oh, so you think I can't impress Cutter, eh? Well you just watch!" Pippi turned away and trotted over to Cutter with her prettiest smile(prettier than Bridie's).
"Hello Cutter." She said. "I was just wondering if you'd like to arm wrestle with me? Since Gan Ning wants me to!" She sighed.

"Of course you could impress him!" Bridie said innocently. "If he's into irritating rednuts!" She finished with a snort.
She watched on, giggling at the way that Pippi attempted to smile prettily.
Nice try, Pippi! Bridie-Lee thought to herself. But you didn't even come close!
Pippi's attempt to chat up Cutter was almost cringe-worthy, but Bridie fought to keep from laughing; She just had to see what would happen next.

((sorry all.. fell behind and didn't realize Cutter was being addressed at all!))
The crimson stallion let out an audible sigh of relief as the cool rain showered over him. He half-reared on his bulky hind legs, tossing his large head around in effort to catch as much of the water as possible before it disappeared at his feet.
"Aye, Gan'ing, ye sea devil!" He laughed heartily, much pleased by the relief after a day of hard labor. He need not openly express his thanks--what pirate would?--but he and Gan Ning were such that specific words weren't needed to communicate many ideas.
Once he was relieved of the grime and sweat which had darkened his scarlet coat, Cutter shook himself out, delighted that Gan Ning had a habit of taking the water away again once its purpose was fulfilled. True though, that it would be soon enough that Cutter would again be adorned by the scents of the sea. He often carried with him a smell of salt air and muskiness.
As he finished shaking his black and gold mane back into place, emerald-green eyes noticed the purple mare approaching. Again.
"Hello Cutter." She said. "I was just wondering if you'd like to arm wrestle with me? Since Gan Ning wants me to!"
The quiet Cutter's eyes glanced past the mare to Gan Ning, trying to read his expression. He also saw Bridie standing there, looking noticibly amused by the situation from what he could tell. He flashed her a gold-toothed grin in response to her look. The red stallion looked down at Pippi with a simple raised eyebrow.
"Ye want to arm wrestle, lassie?" He asked in almost a non-believing tone. Cutter was the muscle of the ship, the cargo-loading, anchor-hoisting, rope-taughting brawn behind the operations aboard. And this mare wanted to test her strength against his?
"Aye, let's see what ye got then," Cutter continued in his calm, unemotional way, almost looking bored by the situation. He strode over to a barrel and stood on one side. He then raised a large, draft-like hoof and set it down atop the barrel with a sharp thud. He waited for Pippi to take her place opposite him.

The purple mare turned around real quick to see what Bridie was up to. Well, maybe my smile isn't as pretty as hers, but I AM better than her! She thought to herself. Except maybe in beauty contests, but I am stronger than her. The purple mare turned quickly back to the scarlet-reddish stallion.
Pippi smiled with delight as Cutter put the barrel down. The cute purple mare took her place across from Cutter. She put her arm on the barrel. "Ok, ready?" She asked.

"Aye," The muscular stallion nodded with a devious, secretive grin. He easily grasped the smaller mare's hoof in his own. After a short glance to Gan Ning and Bridie, he counted slowly in his low voice.
"1...2...3"
The very milisecond the pirate counted to three, he clenched his teeth, and with relative ease, forced the purple mare's arm down against the wood of the barrel. He held her there so that her body wouldn't fall sideways as result of the force he had applied.
Cutter then grinned, showing the few gold teeth he possessed. He then retracted his hoof, regardless of whether it left Pippi to fall or whatnot. The strong stallion then replaced the barrel, raised an eyebrow at his friends on the other side of the deck, and returned to the side of the ship to where he had laid his canteen.

She just looked irritated. The purple mare could sense that Bridie could've been a bit jealous. [Angel, you CAN'T write that. That's called godmoding. Bridie is trying to stop herself from laughing, so I think it's pretty obvious that she doesn't look irritated or is feeling jealous. I want you to edit that out, because it is up to ME what my character is feeling. Argh, Godmoding irritates me to no end.]

[[uggh, gone for a day and this is what happens! Lol.]]
Tiger ignored deliberately Quicksand's question about setting sail. He didn't consider himself answerable to anyone on when his ship would sail, and especially not to a newbie like her. Of course, he did think she was all right so far, at least she appeared to hold him in appropriate respect. He couldn't stand crewmembers who didn't respect their captain.
His attention was then turned back to Pippi and Bridie, who seemed to be having it out again. Pippi's going to Cutter to armwrestle amused him. Well, why, she was strong, to be sure, but Tiger thought of Cutter as the strongest pirate on the ship. He rather depended on the two stallions on board, Cutter and Gan Ning. They were like his right and left arm to him. What with these mares running around, he felt he needed all the stallions he could get. He made a mental note of trying to find more fighters on his ship.

Gan Ning winced a little as Cutter beat Pippi. "Huh, that didn't go exactly to plan. I'd think she'd at least have put up a fight!" He shook his head as he lightly punched Bridies sholder, not hard enougth to even come close to hurting her, but enough to let her know that he was about to tease her in a brotherly manner again. "I better keep my eye on you, Bridie! You might bend the Captain around your hoof onme of these days and take over! Then I'd be in REAL trouble!"
He laughed at the though, waveing to the captain. Sure, he was Tiger's right arm, so to speak, but he was also one of the few sources of good humor and high sprits on board. Still, he knew when to shut up and draw blades as well as anyone else, namely when Tiger was getting tired of his good humor. But that's how he ran things his way; High sprits equaled high moral, and that lead to a lot of sunk enemies. He placed a hoof on Quicksand's sholder as he grined at the captain.
"Look at the bright side! Not only does she know her place thus far and a real looker, but she's the new cook!" It took a lot to even draw Gan Ning's atention to mares, but when it happened, well... Quicksand would learn in time. "And if she stinks at that, we could always use a Cabin Mare!" He remembered his own time of that; Being a hyper active goof that in due time gave the captian of his ship the boot and taking over. He grined as he remembered that one time, the idiot forbid his men from having oranges, so he scarfed pineapples instead.
He was the only one that didn't get scurvy. Bring himself back to present matters... "Not a problem, Cutter!" He winked at Quicksand before he headed off to ready the charts for Tiger so he could plot the next course with him and Cutter, on ocation.

Quicksand blushed slightly while Gan Ning was talking about her, then looked to Pippi. Man, had she taken a beating...
The unicorn assumed the captain was done speaking with her, so she said, "Excuse me for a moment..." Then she hurried over to Pippi to try to cheer up her new friend - she would probably need some cheering up after that.

((What did I tELL you guys about posting too fast? ! GOD! And I'll edit that out.)) Pippi tried with all her might, but Cutter pushed her arm down. And Pippi almost won, too! She took a breath. "Wow, you're good." She said to him with a smile. "It was a great game, though!" She turned around and saw Gan Ning was laughing. She trotted up to him, gave him an evil look, then trotted over to Quicksand. "Well, that sure went well." The purple mare said. "Cutter really is stronger than me. But don't forget, I'm the strongest girl in the world!" She said with a grin. She still had a crush on Cutter, though. That sure wouldn't go away. How can she stop liking such a hunky stallion like Cutter?

"I'm the strongest girl in the world!"
Quicksand nodded her head in agreement - whatever kept Pippi happy. "I'd never want to armwrestle you", she said honestly.

Tiger chuckled to Gan Ning's jokes. He liked his humour, and he did have a point about Quicksand - the mare seemed to know her place, and now that he looked at her, she was indeed quite the looker. Tiger's eye caught her for a minute longer. If he had one weakness, it was mares. Bridie kept him satisfied with that for the most part, but sometimes a different kind of dish might've tasted nice. He smiled to Quicksand in his rough way, his sea green eyes going over him in a new way.
"You got a point there, Gan Ning," he said to his first mate rather thoughtfully.
When Quicksand went to talk with Pippi, Tiger followed her with his eyes. Pippi's bragging about being the strongest girl in the world made him draw his ears back, however. Pippi was possibly the only mare on earth he had not felt the slightest bit of attraction to so far, princess or no princess. But she was useful for the ship, so he kept her on. Of course, he had so far yet to see whether she was any good on a real fight, but time for that would come yet.
He snorted to her words and walked closer, a harsh look on his face.
"How'bout putting that strength of yours to actual work, then, lassie?" he asked Pippi. "The cargo don't load itself, you know, and Cutter could use some help."
