"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked a bit playfully, nudging her with one hoof. "You jealous or something?"
Tiger's comment knocked Bridie back into her normal self.
"Me? Jealous?" Bridie sniffed, though rather playfully at the same time. "As if I'd ever be jealous of an old salt like you!" Though she blushed just a little bit, which was rare for Bridie, unless she was faking it which she usually did because some stallions found it cute.
She looked away from Tiger again, making sure not to let him see her rosy cheeks. When she had regained her composure, she looked Tiger straight in the eye and said "I could get any stallion I wanted, and not only that, I could manage it before you could even think to bed that silly yellow mare you were hanging all over." She smirked.

"Me? Jealous?" Bridie sniffed, though rather playfully at the same time. "As if I'd ever be jealous of an old salt like you!"
Tiger's heart sank. When Bridie turned her head away - and he didn't see her blush - he let his ears droop just a little, and he had to swallow to get the hurt feeling out of his throat. Of course, she was being playful - but still, he was disappointed and a bit hurt. He just couldn't make her out. Did she care? Well, obviously she cared in some ways, but... Tiger flattened his ears, angry at himself for being such an immature colt when it came to Bridie.
He was sporting a bit of a scowl by the time she turned back to face him.
"I could get any stallion I wanted, and not only that, I could manage it before you could even think to bed that silly yellow mare you were hanging all over." She smirked.
The scowl turned to a bit of a sheepish look.
"That obvious, huh?" he asked, swishing his tail a little uncertainly while stealing a glance up to the helm and Roxanne. And then to a little side to Kail. He sighed in his mind. There were far too many mares on this ship right now.

Bridie-Lee felt the exact same way as Tiger. She would love to sail away to the horizon in a ship with just her and Tiger on it, but she would rather cut off her wavy locks than admit that to Tiger.
Bridie couldn't help but notice that she had somewhat hurt Tiger's feelings. Though he was a tough pirate, no-one could read him better than Bridie. Making sure nobody was looking, (She couldn't risk her reputation.) she put her hoof forward and touched Tiger's feathered hoof softly. She smiled at him. And she hoped Tiger savoured this moment because it would be a long time before it would happen again, because not only was it out of character for Bridie, it took alot of guts for her to do it.

Tiger almost jolted at Bridie's touch, and he turned his eyes back to her. His ears were laid back a little, and his expression was almost shy as he stood still. Her smiles had always been enough to brighten even the worst of his days - and this time, it was even more special than usually. He couldn't read everything from her that there was to read - but he did understand her meaning. He smiled back, and reached out his muzzle, brushing it past her ear just slightly, blowing a warm gust of air onto her neck hair, and as he did so, he started to walk, just to seem more casual about it. Not only Bridie was concerned of her reputation, and then again, he wanted to give her the chance to act casual as well. A rather happy smile on his face, he started to make his way back toward the helm. He still had a ship to steer, after all, and he daren't leave Roxanne alone at the helm for too long. It was at that point it occurred to him that he wasn't precisely sure where they were going. He had seen the ship they were following, but it had disappeared from sight a long, long time ago. He had steered the ship to its last known course - which wasn't much to say when you were out in the sea. They might have taken any turn. He tossed his tail with a frown and stomped next to Roxanne. "Since you're so into steering, my dear," he asked her, a concerned look on his face. "Would you happen to know where we're supposed to be taking this ship? Where are the rogues going?" [[hehe, yes, *coughJewelpremonitioncough* ]]

Kail, overhearing the captain ask where they were headed, looked out to the horizon for the black speck they had been following earlier. True to his word, it was no longer visible. Hopping up into the air and soaring high above the ship, Kail spotted the other far out and nodded to herself - they were still on course.
Dropping back down next to Razz she called up to the captain, "we're still following, but they are outpacing us."
(OOC: I'm guessing they can loose the other ship during the storm, and Jewel can let them know where they are headed)

Roxanne took a hoof off the helm long enough to wipe a bit of sweat out from under her forelock. "Thanks on that one, Kail!" What in Blue Blazes was he asking me for?
"How am I doing, Cap'n?" She put the hoof back on the helm, and suddenly realized her shoulders were all tensed up. She lowered them. Ahh, that felt better.

Tiger nodded, looking over to her. He smiled.
"You have real eyes of a sea eagle, my dear," he called out to her while walking next to Roxanne. His eyes glimmered. "Are you sure I couldn't interest you in life at the sea?"
Roxanne took a hoof off the helm long enough to wipe a bit of sweat out from under her forelock. "Thanks on that one, Kail!"
"How am I doing, Cap'n?" She put the hoof back on the helm, and suddenly realized her shoulders were all tensed up. She lowered them.
Sea Tiger sidled close to Roxanne again, and put one hoof on her shoulder, trailing it along her now more relaxed muscles.
"Aye, you're doing just fine," he said with a smile, standing very close to her. His hoof - as though accidentally - lingered in her white hair. "Try and keep relaxed - think of her like a pigeon in your hands... the more you tense up, the more she'll struggle. Then again, if you hold her too loose, she'll slip away."

"What did you see?" he asked, an intent look in his eyes.
For a moment, Jewel could only stare back at Hollow, eyes slightly wide. The adrenaline was still working its way out of her system. After a moment, she blinked her eyes and swallowed, her gaze shifting from Hollow to the porthole in the wall.
Her voice carried an eerie quality when finally she was able to speak, "I think we might be headed for a storm..."

Her voice carried an eerie quality when finally she was able to speak, "I think we might be headed for a storm..."
Hollow followed her eyes to the porthole, but when she spoke, his gaze darted back to her face. His brow furrowed, he studied her expression. He saw she was quite upset. He shifted his hooves a little nervously and a ripple went through his dark corn coat.
"If you are certain," he said at once, "you should tell the captain. You can tell him to shift his course. I will come with you, if you like."
Blatant, straight to the point, short. It was Hollow's way. His ears were laid back slightly to express his dislike of the news.
It crossed briefly his mind if he was able to drown. He wasn't sure.

Kail laughed good-naturedly. "Not on a pirate ship sir, I think I'd do very badly when it came to pirating." She looked out to the blue that surround them on all sides, "but moving to the coast would be just to my taste," she said very softly to herself.
Kail shook her mane out in the wind to clear the thoughts in her mind. She couldn't move to the coast, she had a whole nursery full of foals to take care of... and Razz. Even if she found someone to take care of the nursery and the foals she wouldn't leave Razz in Ponyville just so she could be near the ocean. And even if he came with her she really would miss some of the foals and would miss having a job taking care of others. She was well suited to what she did.
Pawing at the wooden deck softly, Kail turned to Razz, "we should go make sure Jewel is ok, she didn't look well when she passed."

"A pigeon, eh? I always thought of ships as more like ducks... neither very dignified birds, really, I dunno." She grinned; she was beginning to get more comfortable with him, as he was less intimidating now that he was hitting on her.
Then again, maybe she was just trying to be extra casual because the smell of him close to her was intoxicating, and because the hoof in her hair reminded her of the way it felt -
She shook her head to clear out the butterflies. "Straight course, then, Captain? I think I've almost got the hang of this."

Coon Skin flinched at the welcome she received when Jewel awoke. Silently with a frown she mumbled an apology before stepping back near the port hole.
It was rather difficult, now that Coon spared a minute of thought. She was on a boat with Champions, those that would be likely to spread of her thieving nature when they returned home to Ponyville. It would be cause to get on the move again. These ponies, some that had trusted her like Kail, would most certainly loose that tiny tie of friendship. Trying to fit in with the lot would be an uneasy experience.
Then to take into account the pirates. Although Coon knew Tiger off hoof, it wouldn't help much for the pirates as a whole. None knew her, and although a thief by nature, she was unfamiliar with the ins and outs of pirate behavior. Much like the Champions, she was half going on a limb here. Throw in Bridie and Tiger's protection on her might make matters worse.
Rainbows what had she gotten into?
"I think we might be headed for a storm..."
"If I don't get skinned this time then there's someone looking out for me," she groaned, rubbing a temple.

Kenaz whispered his assent to Rain, then followed her as quietly as he could manage. When would it be safe? He didn't want to go back, not yet. If he was going to get into major trouble (and he was!) then it had better be worth it.

The pegasus sat on her haunches on the small bed, leaning against the wood grain of the wall. In the quietness of the room, she could hear the waves outside lapping against the ship as the vessel moved through the sea. That beautiful sea, which, in the deception of its pleasing ebb and flow, held the fears closest to Jewel's heart. The shining waves which pulled those not strong enough to resist down into the watery depths, and henceforth to a watery grave.
The sea which now surrounded them all.
"If you are certain," he said at once, "you should tell the captain. You can tell him to shift his course. I will come with you, if you like."
"I didn't know.. if it was real," She said softly, not in a voice of meekness, more so one of quiet relfection in a serious tone. It wasn't in the mare's nature to wear her weaknesses on her sleeve, so to speak. "I thought.." I thought my fears might have been turning my mind against me. She shook her head with closed eyes.
"We can go talk to him," She said, eyes on the opposite wall. Jewel hesitated before turning to look once more at Hollow, "But now.. it might be too late."

Kail laughed good-naturedly. "Not on a pirate ship sir, I think I'd do very badly when it came to pirating." She looked out to the blue that surround them on all sides,
Tiger smiled to himself as he looked at Kail from the corner of his eye. He had to admire her beauty - and he couldn't help but read from her the desire to indeed move closer to the sea. She could hear the call of the ocean, he was sure of it. He couldn't help but think that a mare like her was not made for the land.
Tiger turned his attention back to Roxy. The mention of ducks made him bristle just a little, but he had to admit he had brought up undignified birds first. He nodded to her question.
"Aye, straight on," he agreed. "We got to keep on course, if we're ever going to catch them. No time to lose, either, they have a fast bird over there."
* * *
"If I don't get skinned this time then there's someone looking out for me," she groaned, rubbing a temple.
Hollow glanced at Coon, but kept his main interest in Jewel. He had taken note of Coon's affair with Bridie - how at first the thief had appeared interested but then backed away. He hadn't caught everything going on there, but he assumed the thief was having some... relationship issues. Moreover, he seemed to know Kail and Jewel from before; and from the flirtatious way the thief carried himself - herself? - Hollow predicted some kind of a collision course. Especially since the Captain himself seemed to like flirting as well.
Hollow felt another ripple go through his coat. Nothing affected him more than the power of premonition. Physical strength never could phase him, nor magic that affected the physical surroundings, but magic of the mind... the ability to see things before they happened - yes, that was what commanded Hollow's immediate respect.
"Then we must hurry," Hollow said. "It may be that it is your fears affecting your dreams - but what if it is not? At the very least, we must give the choice to the Captain."
Hollow, being a strong believer in magic and the supernatural, could not comprehend the possibility that the Captain perhaps would not listen to a seer's vision.
