[[for my Hollow's and Tiger's part, the storm or whatever is quite all right. It would at least give the pirates something to shine in - to show off how well they can handle themselves in a tough situation, instead of being mere statists for the Champs. ]] Hollow examined Kail thoroughly. The green champion appeared very... strong to him. Strong in power. Hollow had to be shocked about the way the green pegasus appeared to his special vision. There was a radiation there that interfered with the common mortal degeneration of her body - a radiation that could only come from considerable healing tendencies. Hollow was impressed. The Rainbow seemed to have chosen well. There was, however, one thing which quite made Hollow unsure and a bit irritated for the moment. He couldn't, for the life of him, make out just which one of the Champions was supposed to be in the lead. Logic didn't help. In many ways, Charisma ought to have been in charge. But he saw also others here with full capability for leadership, most notably the new acquaintance, this Kail. And so far they had rather worked as a team instead of a hierarchy. To Hollow, that was the most foolish system there could be. If none was in charge, confusion would easily follow at a critical moment when everyone did what they thought was best. He himself did not have a special craving for the post, but he felt someone should have taken a clear lead. His logic told him that was the best way. Snapping back to the present from his thoughts, he approached Kail and Razz. Surely it was not polite to interrupt a love scene, but Hollow cared little for polite. His mind arranged everything into order by importance and urgency, and the urgency value of this reunion was, to him, at a lower level from the urgency of their mission. He felt he needed to remind everyone of this again. "A-hem," he said, clearing his throat, to attract Kail's attention. "Is the ship you got for us ready to leave?" [[forgive Hollow's eagerness - he just thinks in straight lines that way ]]

"Very good to see you too," the peg said with a smile and winked at Razz before lifting herself and helping him up off the spongy grass. A good shake of her mane and ruffle of her wings and she was back to normal.
Taking a quick look around she noticed some familiar old faces and a couple new ones too. "Jewel, you're a Champion now too? Good choice." She couldn't hide the good feeling she got being around the Champions from her voice. It was a completely different Kail from that morning.
"A-hem," [Hollow] said, clearing his throat, to attract Kail's attention. "Is the ship you got for us ready to leave?"
"Aye aye so it is." Kail nodded and extended her hoof, "Kailani Hoofspen, green Champion of the Rainbow."

"Jewel, you're a Champion now too? Good choice."
The golden pegasus smiled kindly and nodded, then flipped her forelock from her face to reveal the purple eye symbol with the star in it just above and between her eyes, where a unicorn's horn might sprout.
"Kailani Hoofspen, green Champion of the Rainbow."
"..And the pony best suited for the Green stripe," Jewel said quietly, stepping forward to join the others. She smiled, glad that the other pegasus had joined them. Things felt much more complete when all the stripes were present, she acknowledged. Though she seemed more willingly involved now, she still avoided eye contact with the masked bandit.

Hollow took Kail's extended hoof into his and shook it briskly.
"Hollow Heart," he introduced himself. "The Yellow. You can call me Hollow." He smiled briefly to Jewel and then looked at Kail again. He was going to say he wholeheartedly agreed with what Jewel was saying, but then realised it would have amounted to a lot of explanations he wasn't sure if he was willing to give right at the moment.

Coon remained for the most part silent as the Champions were reunited with their missing partner. More or less, she was rather surprised--no, impressed by the manor Razz and Kail had greeted each other.
On some level, it was a slight sting. Coon had flirted with the green peg since her first night in Ponyville. The feeling was mediocre at best; Kail was just that, a flirt. There Coon was mistaken again. She corrected herself, Kail was a good acquaintance.
It still wouldn't make it any easier to admit her..."profession" to Kail. Lying about something like that could lead the peg to assume she was a scoundrel through and through, when in all honesty most of what Coon had said or done with her had been sincere.
Regardless, it wasn't something that could be entirely ignored now. Shoving all past thoughts of Foxy to the back of her mind, Coon cleared her throat to make her presence in the group known again.
"I want some attention too, Princess.," Coon pouted in a childish fashion.

Smiling warmly at the yellow, Kail shook his hoof and then looked around the rest of the group. She hadn't yet noticed the grey mare, but turned at the voice with a confused smile.
"Coonskin," she started a little surprised. The last time Kail had seen the crossdressing mare was just before the battle of the Old Gods. Coon had been all buisness then, and Kail hated to think about those few weeks, so the sight of the "stallion" brought a bit of a pang.
Looking around quickly, counting the number of Champions (although she knew quite well who carried each stripe without doing so), Kail finally turned back to Coon. "You're not a Champion...what are you doing here?" She hated to sound rude, but why would the other bring along some rogue stallion? There had to be something that she just couldn't place her hoof on.

Coon practically winced at the accusing bluntness of her words. But Coon was skilled; she shook it off and grinned.
"Word was that something was lifted here and that you needed a professional to get it back," Coon stated simply, then boasted, "And you got the best there is to retrieve it."
Please don't freak out... Coon silently pleaded, her face still as coy as ever. I should go into repo work...at least I'd get paid to steal legally.

Hollow rather liked Kail's smile. She was friendly. All these ponies appeared to be friendly. It was somewhat of a new experience to Hollow, being used to coldness for a very long time. When Kail turned to Coon, he realised that she, too, had a history with the thief. He began to wonder if he was the only one not familiar with the thief. But what was he - or she? - to Kail? An old boyfriend? Or had he stolen something from her, too?
Hollow was still undetermined as to which gender the thief was. His special sight gave him many advantages, but determining the gender of a pony was not one of them. He was again all tense as he followed the situation with his eyes. Tension got to him easily. It sharpened his senses but it also made him wary - even if it could never make him jittery. Hollow couldn't imagine himself jittery. His mindset was too precise, too unemotional, for that.

It took a moment for the meaning of Coon's words to sink in, and Kail's eyes widdened as she realized what the grey one meant. "I see," she said carefully, guardedly. She had learned working in the nursery to guard her strong emotions so the kids would never know if something was wrong.
"Well, that makes eight bags of gold I guess, I hope the Queen wont be upset." Not that one more bag of gold in payment of passage was going to make much difference to the mare. "Any other surprise passengers I should know of?" She looked around the group to make sure there weren't any others hidding in the crowd. "No? Good. Let's go then; this way to the ship."
Taking off at a trot, nearly weaponless unless Razz had had the sense to unlock her big chest and get out her things (which she doubted), Kail started down the hill and towards the town of Dream Valley, and the biggest port in the northern hemisphere of the known world.

Razz followed after Kail like a puppy. He was all together too bouncy.

The golden pegasus tossed her mane and trotted with a lively step after Razz and Kail down the grassy hill. Midway, however, she planted her hooves in a dead stop, staring with a seemingly blank expression.
What.. An image flashed before her mind's eye that barely registered in her consciousness. With a golden hoof raised to step forward, she froze again. What she saw nearly made her heart stop. No.. Just, no! That can't be right. The peg shook her head, willing the scene away from her mind. She pushed it back as hard as she could, trying to fill her mind with other thoughts. Which was easy, since Peri was never far from her mind anyway.
Only slightly shaken, Jewel continued after the pair before her.

Roxanne stood back from the group, who all seemed to know each other.
As they set off, she gave the nearest pony, Hollow Heart, a friendly wink. And keeping quiet for now, she followed at a snappy trot.

Hollow reacted to the mention of bags of gold with an amused chuckle. So the ship they were going to take to follow the pirates weren't in it for their good and kind hearts. He wondered if any ponies - besides the Champions, possibly - ever did anything for anything else but greed. He suspected the thief with them would not lift a hoof for them was there not something in it for him - her? - as well.
He made a mental note of asking that question from someone at some point. He hated being vague or uncertain.
Hollow took in Roxanne's wink with a bit of a smile mixed with sheepish drop of the ears. He felt the Charisma had got a bit of a grip on him, somehow, and he wasn't sure of how he felt about it.
Jewel's brief stop affected Hollow more, however. It alerted him to the recollection that the Indigo had a special sight - more special than Hollow's own, indeed, and he respected it. So, as they started off at a trot, he made it a point to trot alongside Jewel, not fooled by her continuing on her way as though nothing was wrong.
He directed a sharp eye to her.
"What's wrong?" he asked at a low voice as not to attract too much attention, his golden eyes deeply fixed into her purple ones.

"What's wrong?"
Jewel knew there would be little chance of fooling the stripe of Intelligence. However, she wasn't keen on revealing the snip of what she had seen. If, after all, THAT was what she had seen. The less she saw of it, the further she pushed it away.. the less real it was. And the less real, the less it could bother her. And maybe.. the less likely it would happen after all.
In addition, explaining the severity of her vision would give away the most vulnerable aspect of the Indigo stripe. It would lead to questions, and Jewel didn't want to answer those questions.
"I'm not sure," She replied as calmly and evenly as she could, but with a frown, "I.. I thought I was getting a snip of something, but it.. it went away." She paused a moment, glancing skyward for lack of anywhere else to look. Eventually though, she did draw her gaze back to Hollow Heart, "It'll probably.. come back."

Razz's bounce had lessened somewhat, though it was probably difficult to tell. His left ear flicked backward. He kept one eye on Jewel and the others. He could sense the changes in them. Their ethereal spirits were at the edge of his mind and though he did not dare to push his way in, he could still feel them all quite strongly. He was learning more about the violet power every day now that he'd decided to use it more frequently. Jewel's shift had caught his attention, but he said nothing and kept on Kail's heels.
