"I, uh, I guess." Razz stumbled forward as Kail encouraged him. He watched Roxy at the helm. There was something about it, something pulling at his mind. He couldn't quite place it. He just stood there.

Kail glanced at Razz in concern. Not ten minutes ago he had been about to get his head cut off by Cutter for being overly nice and excited, and now he was more sober than usual.
Taking a step forward she lowered her head, ears forward and alert. "Razzaroo? What's wrong?" Maybe he'd heard something he didn't like from someone else's mind? Her lavendar eyes searched his face as she waited for his reply.

((I can't find an herbal remedy for seasickness, so I'm going to kind of make one up.. also, I checked a thesaurus, and 'brackish' seems to sound more pirate-y than 'seasick', at least to me )) The red stallion stood by with his head held in a dominant, almost ominous way. As the newcomers came to know him, they would discover his more pleasant side, but for now he saw fit to make sure the heirarchy was clearly established. That and, he saw Tiger wasn't yet comfortable with the Champions, and as usual, followed his lead. "Hoy, Cutter!" he shouted down. "Why don't you take the rest of our guests below? It looks like the little lady over there isn't feeling so well."Cutter glanced over to the gold pegasus and the mustard-colored stallion beside her. Indeed, the mare's cheeks had a slightly green tint to them. "Aye, a bit brackish, I reckon," He replied, inwardly rolling his eyes. What on earth made them take a pony with wings on a sea ship anyway? That green mare was another story, as she clearly was part of the sea herself, but this one? Seasickness was not the only thing to plague Jewel's mind. The same horrifying images kept resurfacing without her encouragement, taking over her mind's eye and showing the future. Time after time, against the will of her powers, she suppressed the visions as long as she could. Rambling on about the future with glazed eyes while hurling over the railing of the deck wasn't exactly the way she preferred to inform the others. However, she did need to have a meeting with the champs, and soon. Cutter stode over to the pair, looking at the mare with a hint of softness. Females were his weak spot, after all. Any females. "Follow me b'low deck.. see if we can't find ye somethin t'calm yer insides." The red, axe-symboled stallion turned with a swish of his short black tail, and headed toward the steep staircase which led to the quarters below. As Jewel passed the violet stallion, she paused briefly, and spoke quietly, "Razz.. tell the champs we need to have a meeting, after nightfall maybe.. it's important. Please," And with that, followed behind Cutter. If Razz needed to know more, he could always reach out to her mind.

[Internet's down... Of course the internet has to stuff up just when I've caught up with my rping... ] Bridie was just about to make her second move when Coon moved away from her. The white mare scowled. Nobody snubbed Bridie-Lee and got away with it. But before she could start glaring at the stallion she noticed something else. Tiger seemed quite taken with Roxy. Bridie was a little taken aback. She had always known that they had an open relationship, if they even had one that went further than bed buddies, but she had always regarded Tiger as her man. Well, perhaps she had many men but Tiger would always be the top of her list. But that aside, she would never let any mare take Tiger's attention away from her. Coon forgotten, for now anyway, Bridie strode over to Tiger and casually rested her head on his shoulders, giving his hoof a playful nudge with hers. [Hahaha... Green with jealousy, she is..]

Roxanne was no dull blade. "An embarassment of riches, eh?" She grinned good-naturedly to show that she meant no offense to the Captain; she realized he always had the potential to turn dangerous.
Tiger had to smile. Perceptive, that one. It looked like she wasn't horribly bothered though. Good.
Her ears pricked up as he stepped away from the helm, and she took her opportunity. "Aye, that I do!" And with a sort of awe, she stepped up and put a cautious hoof on the helm, acutely aware that they weren't standing on a stage.
Tiger smiled and extended a hoof around Roxy's shoulders, putting his hooves on hers - obviously he'd have to show her how to do it, yes?
"Good," he said with a smile. "Now, make sure you hold on tight to it. Remember, the entire ship is under your hooves there..."
He might have said more, but just then Bridie came along, and pressed her head on his shoulder, nudging his hoof. His ears tensed up, and he stepped back from Roxy. Yes, indeed, there was a game of sorts going on between him and Bridie. Tiger smiled a bit as he turned to regard her.
"I thought you were busy," he said with a playful smile.
Hollow had little interest in the steering of the ship, or any of that. He was more concerned of Jewel. She was their eyes, in many ways, and he worried of her. He also felt that while the rest of the Champions appeared to be fooling around with the pirates, it was his duty to concentrate on their mission. So he started off after Jewel and the crimson stallion, making sure to keep close by to her. He saw the little hints in her expression that not all of her ill feeling were because of her seasickness. He decided to ask her about it when they'd get below deck.

Despite his large frame, Cutter descended below deck with experienced ease. "Watch yer step," He said in his low voice, referring to the steep staircase which was often slippery.
There wasn't much light in the bowels of the ship, but candles provided all the light they might need. In the middle of the day, open hatches above let in at least enough light to see one's way.
Cutter pushed a door open with his hoof, revealing a small cabin with a few pieces of furniture, and two small beds. Simplistic living, especially in comparison to the Captain's quarters. The stallion motioned the pair inside. "I'll be back."
With that, Cutter left Hollow and Jewel, and went in pursuit of the kitchen. He returned moments later with a concoction-filled mug. He handed the drink to Jewel silently.
The pegasus looked suspicious, glancing from Cutter to the mug and back again.
"D'ye want to be seasick or not?" He asked in a bit of a huff. "Proven remedy, this is."
Hesitantly, Jewel took the drink and downed it, wrinkling her nose at the bitter taste. She coughed slightly, now sure that there was a certain amount of brandy, as well as herbs that tasted less than pleasant. Swallowing hard, she returned the mug. "Thanks," She said, coughing again.
Cutter simply grunted and turned to leave the pair, soon to resurface above deck.

Hollow stepped carefully along the wooden floor, hearing how the crimson stallion's hoof falls resounded in the relative darkness. He couldn't help but shudder slightly at the thought of getting into a fight with Cutter. Hollow knew very well that his immortality only concerned the span of his life - it didn't include accident insurance.
Hollow looked round in the cabin they were showed in. He got a bit nervous when he noticed that it had two beds. Was he to share a cabin with Jewel? Something in that felt nice to him, but he wasn't comfortable with the thought of sleeping together with any mare.
When Cutter turned to leave, he cleared his throat.
"Wait... is this the only cabin we get?" he asked matter-of-factly. "There's only two beds here."

"Ye think we plan t'stuff all the likes of you in here?" Cutter glanced sideways at the stallion, still not taking kindly to him. "There's plenty of space for all of ye on this ship."
The stallion turned, muttering, "Ye think he'd WANT to bunk with his girlfriend.."
Jewel ignored most of the conversation, walking unsteadily toward the bed and climbing onto it. She was no less than amazed that the sour drink had begun to pacify her stomach instead of making her even more sick.
Once Cutter had departed, the pegasus looked at Hollow, "Thank you for.. for your help," She said, in a voice much calmer than before, especially since she could now lie down. "I.. my stomach.. doesn't seem to care much for the sea," She smiled meekly, curling into a ball on the soft surface, soon appearing more like a ball of feathers with a head than a pony. Jewel found herself quickly becoming drowsy..

Roxanne tensed at the feeling of Tiger's skin on hers. Who-boy, been a while since a stallion was that close... But she didn't let on; she resisted the urge to pull away that would surely show she was affected by the pirate's touch. She kept her eyes focused on the ship and the sea spread out before her, and she kept her hooves where they were.
Roxy took a deep breath to relax her taut muscles. "Holding on tight, Captain!"
But the lesson was cut short. Disappointed (against her better judgement) when Tiger pulled away from her, she turned to look over her shoulder. The motion turned the helm and the whole ship creaked as its bulk was shifted off course.

The stallion turned, muttering, "Ye think he'd WANT to bunk with his girlfriend.."Hollow blinked and took some steps toward the cabin door. "But she's not..." But he was already gone. Hollow turned his ears back, not really flattening them, but more as a sign of undecisiveness and slight embarrassment. He turned his head just a little and looked at Jewel from the corner of his eye. She hadn't appeared to have noticed anything. Perhaps she hadn't heard. Hollow wasn't sure how she felt about it. On one hand he was flattered that Cutter thought they were an item. On the other it concerned him a little. Jewel found herself quickly becoming drowsy..Hollow turned fully toward her. He walked close to her, to the bed. "It might be best that you rest now," he said kindly, and grabbed the blanket at the other end of the bed with his teeth, and pulled it over her. "I... I will stay here. Just tell me if you need anything." He shifted his hooves a little. He was concerned of two things. Of the mission and of himself. What was he doing? Why was he being so friendly with her? With all of them? Why did he make such an effort? * * * Up on the deck, Tiger never had the chance to hear Bridie's answer. The ship rocked and he staggered. "Hey! Watch it!" he shouted, then shook his mane and turned to Roxanne again. Well, of course - figures, when you let an earther into the helm. He attempted to quench his temper a bit, however, reminding himself that this was a mare. A pretty mare. He didn't want to alienate her over a little mistake. He put his hooves back around her. "Now, see, you can't let your eye off of what you're doing for a moment, when you're in the helm, my dear," he said with more amusement in his voice than anything else. "Now turn her back. See the position of the sun? That's what you use to guide yourself. Like this, here's the right way." And while talking, he guided her hooves to turn the helm again, slowly this time. "See, all quiet-like, gently..." He smiled right next to her cheek now. "You got to treat her like a lady, and she'll be nice to you. No screeching and squeaking this way." [[gosh, I hopes he sounds like a valid sea captain. If not, blame my ignorance - but I have only ever steered a motorboat, and they're a lot smaller - however, gently and slowly works for them. ]]

Cutter had just stepped onto the deck when the boat suddeny jerked to the side. He stumbled loudly, large hooves clambering on the wooden deck.
With a grumble, the red stallion swung his head over his shoulder, soon followed by his turning body. He looked up at the helm, and saw not Tiger, but that sparkly gold mare steering the ship!
"Blazes, Tiger! What's gotten in yer head t'let some land-goer drive?!" Cutter frowned a moment before remembering the Captain's fondness for mares, and that he now had fresh meat to pursue. His frown then broke into a laugh, and he shook his navy mane, grumbling with a smile.
"It might be best that you rest now," he said kindly, and grabbed the blanket at the other end of the bed with his teeth, and pulled it over her.
Jewel's eyelids fluttered slightly as her body relaxed from the potion of sorts Cutter had given her. "I wonder what was in..." She yawned, resting her head, "that.. pirate the drink gave me.." Something besides brandy, for sure..
"I... I will stay here. Just tell me if you need anything."
Jewel's purple eyes opened briefly, struggling to focus on Hollow, "Thanks...." And she fell into a drowsy sleep.

"But she's not..."
Coon, having followed silently behind Cutter and the rest, caught the last of Hollow's remark as she stepped in with a confident and comfortable air about her.
"At least you know she's taken." Coon nodded to him, as if in greeting, though she didn't stay it in a harsh tone.
Calmly she stepped up to Hollow's side, her golden eyes dropping to gaze at Jewel's resting form. "She doing any better?"
The masculine mare was honestly concerned. She had at one point flirted, and still did, during a battle with the yellow peg. Though it was expected a denial of her passes, Coon still couldn't help but feel attracted to her, and the necklace she normally carried. Recently there was a mark of respect that went further than any sort of attraction. It wasn't often a mare could just take her down in hot pursuit of the chase. On a level, Jewel had emasculated her, and Coon respected that, as embarrassing as it was.

Jewel's purple eyes opened briefly, struggling to focus on Hollow, "Thanks...." And she fell into a drowsy sleep.
Hollow was a little concerned now. He couldn't help but feel suspicious of these pirates. What if they planned to wait till they were all asleep and... he tried to move the thought away. His logic told him that this was not likely. They would be paid if they did what the Champions wanted. By killing them they would not accomplish anything but the works of the Darkness.
"At least you know she's taken." Coon nodded to him, as if in greeting, though she didn't stay it in a harsh tone.
Calmly she stepped up to Hollow's side, her golden eyes dropping to gaze at Jewel's resting form. "She doing any better?"
Hollow turned back an ear and then looked at Coon, jolting a little at the thief's sudden appearance. He eyed the masculine mare up and down, now for the first time really focusing on her. His eyes narrowed a little. He had a sharp and attentive eye. He picked on the little signals in her body, and was less certain that she was a stallion. But for the moment, he felt it was not an important piece of information. He left it at that. If the thief wanted to play games with the rest of the Champions, let her do so. Hollow would only concentrate on what was meaningful.
"Yes, I think so," he answered to her question. He looked down to Jewel as well. His eyes darted back and forth between the thief and the sleeping pegasus for a while, until they settled fully onto the pegasus. A slight smile curved his lips. It seemed that Jewel had more admirers on this ship.
The thought made him ask if he himself was one of them. He couldn't answer right now. There was an etheric quality about Jewel that he felt drawn to, but then again... he looked at her. He saw the golden tan fur lighten and slowly, ever so slowly, grow grey. Her entire body was quietly disintegrating before his very eyes. The touch of the immortal Rainbow had given her something that made it easier for Hollow to look at her - like all the Champions - but it did not erase her mortality. He felt a shudder go through his muscles, his coat rippling like a field of corn in the wind. He tried to steel himself. He must always be alone.

Roxanne started with embarrassment as the Captain shouted, and snapped back to what she was doing. Blazes, that was a stupid thing to do. What're you looking at anyhow, mare? He's a PIRATE - the blue stripe coursed through her mind, accentuating the syllables - PI-RATE.
Yeah, but... Roxanne relaxed ever-so-slightly into his body, and tried to listen intently to what he was saying. "Cripes, Captain, I'm sorry. It's more... sensitive... than I thought it would be." And for an instant she realized she wasn't talking about the helm. Roxy, are you MAD?
"The sun, right." She managed to concentrate, and the helm turned more smoothly this time, shifting the ship gently in the waves. She smiled too with the success and twitched her ears with pleasure. "Quieter's better, righty-o!"

Gan Ning wasn't as prepared for the shift as everyone else. That sudden shift caught the bell wearing stallion off guard, and threw him overboard. "Looks like I'm headed for the-" He was cut short as he fell past the port hole the two hich-hikers got in, and plunged head first into the sea. Flicking his thick tail, he was able to shoot up to the surface shortly after his dip. "Hey cap! You guys keep going, I'll get us dinner!" Turning, the stallion grined. "Hello, my dear old friend! Lets see what you got this time!"
As if to respond, the sea cause a few waves to pick up Ganing and carry him from the ship, laughing the whole time. "Well alright! I was hoping for a challenge!" Leaping up like a dolphan, he plunged head first into the sea, and swam for the bottem; It had been a while since he last brought back lobster.
