(Wasn't sure exactly where to put this, but since it's outside the castle, yet near the village... I put it here. Open to anyone or we'll take our lunch break to wherever the new posts are kicking in... )
Midday-Jump
Ribbon was laying a dress over the countertop, examining the minor repairs it required. She was showing Atarluna how to press the seams together as she trailed them with a bit of colored goo the consistancy of tree sap. She then ran a hot iron over the top until the tear was repaired.
(ooc: cuz I can't for the life of me figure out how they would use a needle aside from cheap grundle labor and I didn't want to go there...colored goo and hot irons seemed much more plausible...yeah...*giggles*)
"Good as new," Ribbon said and Atarluna nodded. "OK, then." She pushed a rolling cart with a heap of worn dresses on it. "Most of them require little repairs like this. I've already tagged them with the colors you'll need." She indicated a shelf with little colorful bottles on it. "If you come across anything more complicated, just give a hollar." Ribbon gave one last friendly nod and walked away to the front of the store to sort and hang the dresses she had finished that morning.
Atarluna was both eager and dismayed to begin the task. On one hoof, she was glad to be out of the forest and in the city, even earning a wage, but on the other she absolutely hated the job. And it was only her first day! She was determined to see it through, though, since Wolfbadger had finally relented and allowed her this opportunity. She didn't want to waste it. That and she hoped to find a better job just as soon as time allowed.
