Sugarberry couldn't help but allowed a very pleased and amused expression curl gently on her lips. It was so long since she really had the company of foals. All her friends were too old to have any more, and aside Roses-are-red's grandchild, there hadn't been any to come across her.
Hmm, if Roses' Rebel's all ready had a foal, what's taking Strawberry Brandy so long in making me a grandma?
She chuckled off handedly at the thought. The chef could wait for grandchildren. But it would be of so nice to have foals running around by her lake cabin like she had when her grandparents lived there.
"I agree with Moondancer, I think the punishment shouldn't be harsh. Just so long as you learn to ask instead of take." The white mare finally managed.
"I do apologize for leaving so abruptly. I am... not very used to company nowadays."
"Oh no problem at all. Sometimes it's nice to have company, but it's also nice for a little solitude from time to time.," she agreed, "I think it's why I moved into my grandparent's cottage. It's like a different world all to yourself."
Then, an afterthought crept up to her.
"The two of you are always welcome to stop by there. I love guests so it wouldn't be a trouble, and it would be nice to see someone making use of my tree swing."
That she glanced down at Gadget.

Moondancer wasn't sure exactly how she felt about somehow being connected to Gadget so strongly. Somehow, it warmed her from deep inside. Ever since she had lost her daughter, there had been a small empty spot somewhere deep inside her, sucking in all the joy of life she had. She knew her white coat had started to grow silvery long before its time, and she had nearly forgotten how to socialise, as she had all but curled up into a corner with her sorrow over the past years.
But no one could ever take the place of her daughter in her heart. Ever.
Still... Moondancer's eye rested on Gadget, missing entirely the notion that she should respond to Sugarberry. Another foal... might fill the void. Her own daughter must be an adult by now, or at least nearly. She had lost all chances of ever becoming her true mother in any case. Perhaps she should try to be a mother to someone who needed it?
She swallowed. This was a thought that took hold of her and would not let go.

"I love guests so it wouldn't be a trouble, and it would be nice to see someone making use of my tree swing."
The last statement caught the filly's attention, and she scooted over so she was close to Moondancer, nudging her on the hoof. "I do like swings. Swings are fun," she said quietly, although Sugarberry would have been able to hear her. She glanced over at Sugarberry and back at Moondancer while she waited hopefully.
Gadget was putting Moondancer on the spot, but it was just her way as a filly. That, and it always did seem to help her chances.

[[oh my, I totally neglected to notice you had replied. *blush*]]
Moondancer blinked and looked at Gadget, realising only now that she was expected to reply to Sugarberry for the little foal. She had to be a little warmed by the way Gadget was looking to her for permission. The idea that the foal might stay with her started to appeal to her slowly.
She smiled to Sugarberry, blushing just a little.
"Oh, I'm sure we'd love to come," she said. She really liked Sugarberry. The mare had a calmness and a friendliness that appealed to Moondancer. "Of course, Gadget... is not exactly... I mean..." She looked at the little foal a bit hesitantly. "That is, I suppose I am taking care of her right now. At least... there's no one else."
She wasn't sure what she was saying. But she couldn't bear the thought of simply throwing the little one out on her luck. She needed to take care of the foal at least until they could find a relative of hers.... or something.
