Young lady, I'll not have this arguement with you again!
Fine! I'm leaving!
Go, then! Run off!
I AM!
Atarluna paced feverishly, recalling the last of her most recent conversation with her father. Always of late did they bicker and chide. She was angry and sullen and the woods had gone quiet with her skulking and kicking at the trees. It didn't matter. It was better when the birds and the butterflies worshipped her with their silence. Finally she came to a stand, huffing on her breathe as she calmed down.
(I really have to get caught up with what's going on here so I can join in, hee!)

((OOC: Not much. Meet and greets, and the beginings of the Festival. Most people are sort of in one place...))
There was not much going on in the forest these days, so the presence of a pony or two casught Emerald Shadow's wandering mental eye.
Ah, the Festival could wait. She would watch this one from her distant pool...

Having drawn herself away from the world and deep down into the depths of her darkened mood, Atarluna's ears suddenly picked up a not-too-far-away sound. Returning to the reality of the woods, she stiffened. Something was walking rather loudly just beyond the trees. She tracked the snapping of its path through the overgrowing fauna. Her body was taut and ready.
"Rainbows!" spoke a voice, the owner of which obviously knew little about stealth. "All these brambles and I just did my hair. It's any wonder why she comes so far out here. Nothing but twiggy weeds."
Atarluna relaxed, recognizing the voice. She swayyed on her hip and drooped her wings, making it look as if she had been waiting for the newcomer for some time.
Ribbon came through the brush, just then noticing Atarluna.
"Oh!" Ribbon said. "I didn't know you were there!"
"Of course, not," Atarluna said. "I am stealth-wise."
"I've come to get you, Attie. You're late. You said you'd meet me in town for the festival."
"I lost track," Atarluna said. "And don't call me that."
"Sorry," Ribbon blushed. Though she was older than Atarluna, she never really felt it much. Something about the dark alicorn was so much more elegant than she herself could ever be. "Will you come now?"
"Yes."
(Cont... where the action is, I guess.)
