Aedeminar took a deep breath upon appearing in Dream Valley, and missed the North's crispness instantly. "Too warm," she complained to the chill morning light. Nevermind that it was full winter in the Valley, just as it was back back home.
The Castle dominated the lightening horizon. Aedeminar knew that her arrival would be sensed, but she made her way to the front gates without waiting. Things were stirring, not just at home but all across the world. If they didn't know the details now, it was about time they did.
Emerald Shadow stepped from the darkness that always lingered behind Sunrunner's wardrobe. The Queen had ceased being surprised.
"What news, Emerald?" Sun looked up from her paperwork. There was always paperwork.
"The Grey One's Daughter has come. The web is being disturbed, and I imagine she has an idea as to the spider..." The Watcher sometimes slipped back into her old cryptic ways, despite the passage of years.
"Dragonrose has an inkling as well." Sunrunner sighed. "I'm getting tired of inklings." She tilted her head and listened to the two sets of steps coming down the hall. One, from the lightness of it, was Dragonrose. The other then was Aedeminar.
Aedeminar let Dragonrose in first, and shut the door firmly behind her. There would be a lot of discussion before them...

"Watcher," Sunrunner said to Aedeminar formally. "What have you seen?"
"You know, Your Majesty, that Dragonrose and I are followers of the old, almost forgotten gods. Well, it is about those gods that we are here to speak about. For the past several hundred years, most of the ones that survived being forgotten have languished in the shadowed corners of the world. Only a few walked amongst us...we even had one here." Aedeminar paused as Sunrunner suddenly straightened.
Who... "Tyr?"
Aedeminar nodded. "Tyr. One of a tiny handful of Northern gods to remain, that I can sense. He is now in Ponyville with Dragonrose's young daughter, as you know. Well, now other gods are stirring. I'm not tied to them so I cannot even tell you who they are, but I know they move. "
"To where?"
Now it was Dragonrose's turn. "They seem to be heading towards Ponyville. Brigid, my patron goddess and the only other one we can follow, is currently making her way there. We can only guess as to why, but Aedeminar thinks they may be converging on Tyr."
"Any ideas why, Dragonrose?" Sunrunner sat down slowly. This was quite the development.
"Perhaps it's because he was the first of them to stir. Perhaps because he is a neutral force. We can't know for certain yet...maybe they don't even know themselves." Dragonrose sighed, her ears drooping slightly.
Aedeminar tossed her head. "I'm going to travel to Ponyville, to confer with Tyr and to report on what happens."
"Please do so, Watcher Aedeminar. Dragonrose, I would like for you to follow, as you are the only other strong tie we have to these old gods. And I'm sure you want to see your daughter," Sunrunner smiled.
"Thank you, Your Majesty." Both the unicorn and the flutter left the room, and Emerald Shadow bowed herself out as well.
"Sunrunner...I'm just Sunrunner."
