[[cont. from Firefly and Skydancer -thread]]
Skydancer was the first to wake up. He was used to waking up with a start to one noise or another, and now that there was nothing like that, and it was all too calm and quiet, he woke up far earlier than usual. He blinked and looked about, not quite at first realising where he was. Then he blinked some more and recognised the trophies set about the room.
He smiled. Ah, yes, the pale pink pegasus. Firefly. He glanced up at the loft. He suspected the green pegasus was still there. That made his face a bit more sour, but he shrugged it off. At least this gave him the perfect opportunity to show off his good side.
He got up from the bed and trotted into the kitchen. He planned to make breakfast for them all.
The trouble was that Skydancer had never been very good in the kitchen. First he didn't find the plates. When he did, he didn't find the chopping plate. When he got that all ready and started to chop the carrots, he found that the carrot pieces didn't really like staying on the table but would roll about, and he had to spend some while catching them.
The best of intentions do not make a good cook. The salad in the bowl looked rather like someone would have accidentally dropped a rather large amount of carrots, lettuce, cabbage and other vegetables on the ground and then a herd of wild horses would have galloped right over it, and the kitchen looked even worse. He didn't much notice the mess he was making, however, as he enthusiastically stirred some salad dressing. In the process he, however, managed to drop on the floor one of the plates he had taken out.
It crashed on the floor noisily and Skydancer grimaced and glanced up.
Up on the loft, Medley was startled from his sleep by the loud noise, and he struggled to get up, still half asleep.

The thing Firefly was most famous for beside her flying capabilities was how soundly she slept. The mare's mother had often joked that all the ponies of Dream Valley stampeding past wouldn't wake the sleeping Firefly. After all, a pony as active and adventure-seeking as the pink pegasus had to re-energize somehow.
Firefly merely swiveled an ear and readjusted herself as the plate crashed upon the floor downstairs. In doing so, her mouth hung open just slightly and soft snores emitted from her mouth. A trait inheirited from her father, who was probably also the one responsible for Firefly's talent of sleeping through noise.
When the green stallion shifted to get himself up, Firefly drowsily pulled him back to her. She never felt as safe as when she slept by Medley's side, and it was something she had missed for quite some time now. He was her teddy bear, her warmth and comfort.
"Itss prob'ly just.. a seapony.." The pegasus mumbled nearly incoherently, snuggling into Medley's side. It seemed she was also not a morning pony.

Medley allowed Firefly to pull him back, being still sleepy and disoriented. As she snuggled herself into him, he felt both very very warm and very very nervous at the same time. Last night it had been fairly easy, for the tiredness, to disregard feelings that might arise from her presence so near to him, but now that it was morning and he was awake... Yes, he felt himself very awake now, remembering the strange stallion downstairs.
"Oh," he started, trying to disentangle himself gently from Firefly. "I think... I think we should go downstairs before that Skydancer of yours breaks down the house. That sounded like a plate."
In truth, of course, Medley wasn't worried for the wellbeing of Firefly's plates nearly as much as he was worried of staying there in that comfortable warmth of her embrace.
Downstairs, Skydancer was satisfied that there was no sound from upstairs, and started cleaning up the remains of the plate quickly. He managed to shuffle them onto another plate, and then looked about, trying to figure out what to do with them. He didn't want to admit to having broken her plate. One of the trophies on the wall caught his eye and his face cleared off into a relieved expression. He flew over to the trophy and carefully slid the broken pieces inside. There, now. He could later on ask to look at the trophy outside and then go dig the pieces into the ground. Yes. That was good.
Much relieved, Skydancer returned to the kitchen.

((lol! Aww Skydancer..))
"Oh," he started, trying to disentangle himself gently from Firefly. "I think... I think we should go downstairs before that Skydancer of yours breaks down the house. That sounded like a plate."
"Plates.. don' talk.." Firefly mumbled, then rolled away from Medley and flopped onto the bed, tangled in the sheets and still fast asleep. Her navy mane fanned out beneath her head, and an exposed wing tip twitched momentarily. Much as Medley might persist, chances were that the peg would remember nothing except for that which happened after she was fully awake.

[[lol *cuddles Skydancer*]]
Medley got on the floor from the bed and turned to look at Firefly with a rather annoyed air. He had to roll his eyes. She was indeed a snug sleeper. He shook his head and took to flight, flying over the bed onto her side of it and reached out a gentle hoof, to shake her just a little. Then he realised he probably wouldn't get much done that way, and took both of his hooves into play, and shook her rather more violently.
At the same time, Skydancer had finally managed to finish the breakfast and brought the salad bowl into the living room.
"Breakfast!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, assuming both the ponies upstairs heavy sleepers.

((can't sleep.. merr..))
Firefly jostled around like a ragdoll for a few minutes, and slowly woke up. After a few incoherent mumbles, most of course making no sense whatsoever, the pink pegasus sat up in bed, and managed a massive yawn.
"G'mornin, Ponyfeathers.." She said in a groggy voice.
"Breakfast!"
Firefly was startled a moment, and with sleepy, narrowed eyes, looked at Medley. "Medley, is... is my mother downstairs?"

Medley had to smirk.
"No," he answered kindly. "It's the stray you brought home yesterday."

"It's the stray you brought home yesterday."
"Oh," Firefly replied, easing her posture. Then, her mind finally clicked into motion, and she answered more aware that Medley was referring to Skydancer, "OH!"
"I.. We.. We better go make sure he's not burning down my kitchen," Firefly said, avoiding any further comments about Sky from Medley. The pink pegasus gracefully tumbled out of bed, and climbed down from the loft.

Medley smiled a little as he followed her downstairs. Over the initial shock of her together with another stallion, he was actually a bit amused of the situation. Skydancer was a goof, he was sure. There was bound to be several occasions for him to show just that to Firefly.
Below, Skydancer was standing by the living room table, a wide happy grin on his face and a bowl of salad on the table next to him, along with two plates. Yes, Skydancer had remembered that there were three of them - but he wanted to make a small point to Medley by pretending to forget. Medley, of course, picked on this instantly, and a less pleased expression settled on his face as he followed a few steps behind Firefly.
Over at the kitchen, a chaos resided. He had managed to dribble the dressing on the table and there were bits and pieces of different ingredients of the salad all around, and somehow he had managed to make dirty practically all cutting knives that she had in her kitchen.

"Oh my.. Skydancer.." Firefly supressed a chuckle as she looked at the haphazard salad that the stallion had prepared for them, "..you.. made breakfast."
The pink pegasus also noticed the place settings for only two, and walked over to the yellow stallion to place a kiss on his cheek. She then continued, "Too bad you can't count so well."
Firefly then turned to go into the kitchen and fetch a third place setting. She stopped in the doorway however, when the ramshackle that was her kitchen became suddenly apparent.

Skydancer smiled proudly when she kissed him on the cheek. He felt himself quite accomplished indeed.
"Too bad you can't count so well."
Skydancer pretended amazement quite well, looking confused at first and then as if realisation went over him.
"Oh! Two plates! Silly me!"
He realised that Firefly was going to the kitchen, and turned round to tell her that he'd get it for her, when she stopped at the kitchen. Medley had followed Firefly, and was standing beside her now. While Skydancer grimaced, Medley kept a steady calm face.
"I am glad to see you survived victorious from the battle with the cabbages, Skydancer," Medley remarked mildly, examining the chaos with his eyes.

There was a slight 'click' sound as Firefly closed her gaping jaw. Did this used to be her kitchen?
"I am glad to see you survived victorious from the battle with the cabbages, Skydancer,"
Firefly's expression turned to a smirk. She hated to be angry over things that could be dismissed with a few laughs. "Man, must'a been some battle, Sky!"
She turned to the yellow pegasus, "I can only hope that after breakfast, someone will tend to the casualties?" The peg raised an eyebrow, giving Sky a slightly stern look through her amusement.

Skydancer at first scowled at Medley, but when Firefly laughed, his face cleared off and he looked rather embarrassed and even amused than angry. Well, at least it seemed like his usual luck with getting away with things was persisting.
She turned to the yellow pegasus, "I can only hope that after breakfast, someone will tend to the casualties?" The peg raised an eyebrow, giving Sky a slightly stern look through her amusement.
Skydancer looked sheepish.
"Ah... yes... of course," he answered. "I'll clean it up. Really."
Medley raised an eyebrow.
"I'm sure I heard a shattering sound earlier," he noted as though casually. He was certain a plate had gone broken, but as he looked round, he couldn't see any shards.
Skydancer could not have looked more innocent.
"Shattering sound? I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about."

"Ah... yes... of course," he answered. "I'll clean it up. Really."
The pink pegasus smiled a bit, then retrieved the third plate needed for breakfast. As she came back past Skydancer, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, "Good."
"Shattering sound? I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about."
Firefly set the plate on the table and turned to Medley, "I didn't hear anything, Ponyfeathers," She said with an air of confusion. "Sure you weren't dreaming?"

Medley stomped his hoof and shook his head.
"I wasn't dreaming," he said sternly. Then he turned round. "Here, I can prove it. I'll bet the shards are in the bin."
And he went over to the bin to check. Meanwhile, Skydancer sported an innocent yet confused smile, and he walked closer. Medley pulled the bin into more plain sight, and rummaged through it, a confident smile on his lips. When there were no shards to be found, he blinked and the smile faded. He looked through the bin again, more furiously. Then he looked up, a rather odd expression on his face.
Skydancer smiled innocently.
"Really, my green friend, you shouldn't take your dreams so seriously," he said with a pleasing, polite voice.
Medley's eyes narrowed.
